Here is some additional information to organize your trip. (Transport costs are the responsibility of the participants)
By Rail and Public Transport: The closest
train station is Hyères.
Arrival by plane at Hyères airport. There is no direct public transport from the airport to the La Tour
Fondue pier and it is best to take a taxi. The journey takes about 10 minutes depending on the traffic. The price is around 25 €.
Arrival by plane at Marseille airport. This option is less convenient than Hyères Airport.
Take the bus from the airport to the train station "Marseille Saint-Charles" (bus operate every 10 minutes)
and the trip takes about 25 minutes. Then take a train (TER) to Hyères
Crossing La Tour Fondue - Porquerolles:
It is necessary to book online the ticket in advance (don't do it at the last moment as number of allowed people on the island is limited!).
A one way ticket costs about € 14, round trip is 24€. The crossing lasts 20 minutes and is rather pleasant. Leaving times from La Tour Fondue for the regular shuttle in september are: It is also possible to take a taxi boat (about 95 € one way for 1 to 6 people). At peak times, it is best to book in advance:
Travel documents: Non-Eu citizens
entering France must have a valid passport. If you need information for a visa request, contact us. For EU citizens, a valid ID card should be sufficient.
By taxi: Taxi prices to La Tour Fondue (Giens) - ferry terminal:
By car: To reach La Tour Fondue, which is the ferry terminal, first go to Hyères and then take the D97 to La Tour Fondue.
